1. MODULE OBJECTIVES:
  • To enable the trainee understand the basics of negotiations and transform them into actionable decisions,
  • To grasp the complexity and dynamism involved public policy negotiations.
  • To help the trainee gain skills in identifying potential challenges to an agreement and figure out a way to overcome them,
  • To capacitate the trainee to make informed analysis and action using Analytic and Case Analysis tools to reach value-adding negotiated agreements for their institutions and agencies.

      2. MODULE BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

This module covers key elements in strategic negotiation analysis and practice. It is based on 3-D negotiations using both Analytic and Cases Analysis. The module is more hands-on with exercises based on Cases studied and analyzed by trainees before they engage in negotiations with one another. The module helps managers and executives at any decision making level to reinforce their formal authority with informed choices and actions that add-value and build sustainable and lasting relationships for their institutions/organizations and companies.

   4. TARGET AUDIENCE:

The target audience for this module includes but is not limited to the Heads of Public Sector Institutions, Heads of Departments, Managers, District Mayors, Procurement Managers, Executive Secretaries, and other managers with decision-making responsibilities. The Module is relevant to public service officials, private sector actors and Civil Society Organizations leaders (including heads of religious organizations).
