2. MODULE BRIEF DESCRIPTION

For many years, Rwanda has been and is still embarking on the way of reconciliation after many decades of divisionism which culminated into the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Even though our past tragedy has passed, Rwandans have to heal the wounds of the past.   They have to do more in rebuilding the needed social cohesion and the recommendable human being under supportive good governance.

Given the situation where the country is coming from characterized by a collapsed society and state, there is a need to monitor and evaluate in the appropriate manner the ongoing process of unity and reconciliation. Increasing a critical mass of professionals with solid knowledge of the M&E of unity and reconciliation can mitigate the problem. This module tries to develop skills needed for the monitoring and evaluation of compliance with unity and reconciliation principles and policies of different institutions.
