Friday 24^th July 2020 at RMI Murambi Campus, Min. RWANYINDO KAYIRANGWA Fanfan, the Minister of Public Service and Labor (MIFOTRA) presided over the handover ceremony of Dr. Jolly RUBAGIZA, the outgoing RMI Acting Director General and Dr. MULINDAHABI Charline, the incoming Director General who is being deputized by Mr. HABIMANA Kizito following their appointments in recent Cabinet meeting of July 15^th 2020.

In her closing remarks, Min. RWANYINDO acknowledged the outgoing Director General’s efforts in heading the institution despite different challenges that include understaffing and limited funding.

“Looking at challenges mentioned, you stood firm and so resilient. Dr. Jolly you deserve to be applauded.” Stated Minister RWANYINDO

Minister also urged the new Director General and her new Deputy Director General to keep going forward and put RMI on another level.

She said: “RMI is a gold mine, you have to dig the gold and give it value. I wish the whole staff to succeed as a team.”

Mr. Peter MALINGA, the Chairperson of RMI Board of Directors, on behalf of the entire Board, appreciated great efforts of the outgoing Director General who worked as the Ag. DG since July 2019 in the absence of Deputy DG i.e she performed all duties of two positions at the same time.

He also acknowledged the two powerful appointments of the new Director General and Deputy Director General in RMI urging them work hard as a team and make RMI shine.

Dr. MULINDAHABI Charline, the new appointed RMI Director General commended H.E Paul KAGAME, the President of the Republic of Rwanda for the trust in appointing her as the RMI Director General. She promised to work hard and improve the quality of training, enhancing research by securing research grants, raising funds through consultancy and improving infrastructure to create a conducive environment in order to meet and exceed the RMI's clients and partners expectations.

She also acknowledged the achievement of her predecessors specially the outgoing team of Hon.Ambassador GASAMAGERA Wellars who headed RMI from 2013 to July 2019 and Dr. Jolly RUBAGIZA who joined RMI since February 03^rd, 2017 as Deputy Director General and started acting on the Director General position from July 23^rd, 2019 to July 15^th, 2020.

Dr. Jolly RUBAGIZA thanked the government of Rwanda which is built on strong leadership of H.E Paul KAGAME for trusting her to serve the country through Rwanda Management Institute as the RMI Deputy Director General since February 2017 and the RMI Acting Director General form July 23^rd to July 15^th, 2020.  She also appreciated the kind support from the Minister of Public Service and Labor and members of the RMI Board of Directors.

This ceremony was also witnessed by Jacqueline KAYITARE, the Mayor of MUHANGA District, Mr. Fidele ABIMANA, the RMI Principal Senior Training Coordinator who was also the Master of Ceremony, Mr. Eugene GATARI, the RMI Principal Senior Research and Consultancy Coordinator, all officers and heads of departments.
