Monday February 21st , 2022 Rwanda Management Institute (RMI) in collaboration with the Rwanda Economic Digitalisation Programme kicks off a five-day training on "Foundation of Data-Driven Analysis for Policy Decisions" course which is taking place at RMI Muhima Campus with ten staff from National Bank of Rwanda, Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA), BK Techouse, and Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA).

This training has been prepared with a purpose of getting Data Teams to speak the same language in order to strengthen practices in data use for better decision-making and accountability in Rwanda with a particular focus on the acceleration of the cashless agenda.

During the official opening ceremony Mr. Vincent de Paul NSHIMYUMUREMYI, the RMI Principal Senior Training Coordinator commends all partners involved to bring this training at RMI. He promises the full support to make it successful and urges trainees to seize this opportunity to acquire needed skills.

Rwanda Economic Digitalisation Programme which is under Ministry of ICT and Innovation (MINICT) aims at harnessing Rwanda’s big data to enhance the Government’s digital capabilities and systems. It is funded by the Mastercard Foundation and implemented by Cenfri. The Rwanda Economy Digitalisation Programme is a three-year digital transformation initiative by the Government of Rwanda. It works with 71point4 and policymakers to develop evidence-based and inclusive policies to reduce poverty and digitise the Rwandan economy.
