Dr. MULINDAHABI Charline
Director General
Dr Charline Mulindahabi is currently the Director General of Rwanda Management Institute, a post she occupies following her Cabinet appointment on 15 July 2020. Her role as Director General includes, among other responsibilities, coordinating the overall functioning of the RMI in accordance with its mandate and ensuring the implementation and monitoring of its programs in line with Government goals.
Prior to her appointment, Dr. Mulindahabi was a senior lecturer at the University of Rwanda, where she headed the Department of Political Science and International Relations in the School of Governance.
Dr. Mulindahabi started teaching in the former National University of Rwanda in 1999 in the department of public administration of the former faculty of SESG (Sciences Economiques, Sociales et de Gestion). Since 2003, after completing her Masters in Public Administration (MPA) in the University of Western Cape (South Africa), she has been teaching courses and modules related to public administration, public policy and decision-making, as well as governance and leadership. She obtained her PhD in Peace and Development Research in October 2015 from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Her PhD thesis is entitled: Obedience Troubled? Exploring Meanings of Obedience in the Post-Genocide Rwanda.
In addition to her managerial and teaching experience, Dr. Mulindahabi has extensive research experience, and her research interests include public policy-making, governance and leadership, peace and conflict management, and development.
