Partnering for Skills and Excellence: RMI Marks Labour Day 2026
On May 8, 2026 at Muhanga Campus, Managers and staff of Rwanda Management Institute joined the rest of the country in commemorating Labour Day 2026 under the national theme, “Partnering for Skills, Powering Job Creation, Fostering Local Economic Resilience.”
The celebration provided an opportunity for staff to reflect on the importance of skills development, productivity, and collaboration in driving sustainable economic growth. The event also served as a platform for meaningful discussions on how RMI can continue to contribute to national development through professionalism, innovation, and quality service delivery.
Addressing participants, the Director General, Dr Charline MULINDAHABI emphasized the importance of embracing the Labour Day theme by strengthening workplace excellence, enhancing employee performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
A key highlight of the event was the selection and recognition of the Best Employee of the Year, an initiative aimed at appreciating outstanding performance, dedication, and commitment to institutional values. The recognition underscored RMI’s commitment to motivating staff and promoting a high-performance culture.
The Labour Day celebration concluded with renewed commitment from both management and staff to continue working together towards achieving the Institute’s mission and supporting Rwanda’s socio-economic transformation.
