RMI CONCLUDES TRAINING OF LOGISTICS AND STOCK MANAGEMENT FOR MMI STAFF AT RMI- MUHIMA CAMPUS.
On 06 December 2024, Rwanda Management Institute completed a one-week training for Six Military Medical Insurance staff in Logistics and Stock Management. The lessons learned will help the staff in improving their daily performance at workplace and bring about change in the Military Medical Insurance institution.
Logistics and Stock Management comprise among others, Logistics Management & Supply Chain Management, Types of Logistics, Logistics Functions, Asset Management, Inventory Management, Contract Management, Transport Management, and Incoterms 2020 (a Set of Trade Terms that define the responsibilities, risks, and costs of transporting and delivering goods between buyers and sellers), among others.
At the closing ceremony, on behalf of the RMI Director General, the Principal Senior Coordinator Research and Consultancy, Mr. Gatari Eugene commended the trainees as well as the trainer for the commitment they put in the training and urged them to use effectively the knowledge gained.
The class representative thanked Rwanda Management Institute and the facilitator for the training.
"This training gave us a lot of knowledge that we didn't have before which will help us work professionally and produce the necessary results by putting things in order", he said.
According to the facilitator, the trainees obtained the necessary knowledge to perform well at work.
Logistics management is the process of planning, implementing, and controlling the movement and storage of goods and services from their origin to their destination. Logistics management, its goal is to deliver the right product or service to the right customer at the right time, quantity, condition, and cost. Logistics management activities include inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and customer service.
Stock management is a key part of logistics management that involves ensuring the right products are available at the right time. Stock management is important for ensuring that businesses have the right products in stock at the right time. Accurate inventory management helps to avoid stock outs, which can lead to lost sales and customer dissatisfaction. Stock management also helps to avoid excess inventory, which can lead to waste and tie up resources
RMI is an institution mandated to offer training in Administration and Management disciplines for public service, private sector, and civil society organizations personnel. It also offers Leadership and Management Development training as well Advisory Services, and Research and Consultancy services.
