Rwanda Management Institute concludes contract management training for Butaro Level Two Teaching Hospital Staff
On 26 June 2026, at Muhima Campus, Rwanda Management Institute has successfully concluded a five-day intensive Contract Management training for 15 staff from Butaro Level 2 Teaching Hospital. The training equipped participants with practical knowledge and skills to effectively manage contracts throughout their institution, from planning and implementation to performance monitoring, contract amendments, dispute resolution, and contract closure.
Speaking during the closing session, the lead facilitator, Mr. Egide TWAGIRAYEZU commended the participants for their active engagement throughout the program and encouraged them to apply the acquired knowledge in their daily responsibilities.
" As contract management responsibilities had been added to participants' existing roles, the training addressed a critical capacity gap by providing specialized tools and practical approaches that can be applied in their day-to-day work. This will help the hospital strengthen contract management, improve compliance, and reduce the risks that can arise from ineffective contract administration." The facilitator noted.
The Community Health Coordinator at Butaro Level Two Teaching Hospital , Mr. Oscar NDAHAYO expressed appreciation for the practical nature of the training, noting that it addressed real challenges encountered in contract administration and provided actionable solutions that can be applied in their workplace.
“ The training was timely and highly relevant. It had strengthened our understanding of contract management processes and enhanced our confidence in managing contractual obligations in line with national procurement regulations”, he said.
Through such tailored professional development programs, RMI continues to empower public institutions with the knowledge and competencies needed to drive good governance, operational excellence, and sustainable national development.
