RWANDA MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE LAUNCHES DATA ANALYTICS TRAINING FOR EDUCATION SECTOR PROFESSIONALS

On 28 January 2026, the Rwanda Management Institute (RMI) launched a ten-day Data Analytics training program for fifteen (15) participants from government educational institutions under the Ministry of Education. The training is taking place at RMI–Murambi Campus from 28 January to 6 February 2026.
The program brings together data analysts, data scientists, data managers, and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) professionals from education institutions, with support from the Ministry of Public Service and Labour (MIFOTRA) through the Chief Skills Office, as part of the implementation of the Rwanda Quality Basic Education Project (RQBE). The training aims to strengthen participants’ capacity to collect, analyze, interpret, and apply data effectively for evidence-based decision-making and improved institutional performance.
Representing the Director General of RMI, the Principal Senior Training Coordinator, Mr. Vincent de Paul Nshimiyumuremyi, welcomed participants and emphasized the critical role of data analytics in managing the vast volumes of education data to enhance planning, accountability, and quality of education. He encouraged participants to actively engage in the training and apply the practical skills gained to their respective institutions.
This training forms part of RMI’s mandate to build public sector capacity through future-oriented data analytics skills aligned with the National Strategy for Transformation (NST2).
