ICT and E-Learning Unit

Introduction

The RMI ICT environment includes all the computers, servers, monitors, printers, cables, hubs/switches, software, data, information systems, internet connectivity, emailing, scanners, modems, mice, keyboards, laptops, use of external data communications infrastructure, UPSs, data backups, disaster recovery, antivirus protection, help desk, hardware repairs, internet usage, user log-on, security permissions, firewalls, web site, strategic plans and policies, procedures and standards, training facilities, data replication, and telephony.

Mission

The Mission of the Unit is to develop, implement, use and Sustain RMI Information Technology resources to increase office efficiency and quality of service delivery to the satisfaction of the Institute and its stakeholders.

Responsibilities 

The ICT Unit with the support of management is responsible for informing and training staff about digital systems, establishing and implementing and monitor appropriate procedures and strategies for the users. Manage and Administer all systems, Network and Internet Use. Follow up on all projects concerning ICT and E-Learning Systems and coordinate ICDL trainings.
