Dr. Jolly RUBAGIZA is the Acting Director General at Rwanda Management Institute (RMI) since 23rd of July 2019. She joined RMI on the 3rd of February 2017 as the Deputy Director General. Previously, Dr. Rubagiza served at the University of Rwanda as Senior Lecturer and the Director of the Center for Gender Studies, at the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS).
Dr. Jolly Rubagiza holds a PhD in Education from the University of Bristol in the UK, a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Sussex in the UK, and a Bachelor of Arts with Education degree from Makerere University in Uganda.
Jolly is passionate about gender equality and women empowerment issues.
Mr. ABIMANA Fidele is the current Principal Senior Training Coordinator. His current responsibility includes the identification of capacity building needs of public, private and civil society organizations, the design of tailor made capacity building solutions to those needs and their respective implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation. He contributes to RMI strategic orientation through the delivery of quality training programs by penetrating the diversified market segments.
Prior to his cabinet appointment as the RMI Principal Senior Training Coordinator, Mr. ABIMANA Fidele was a member of the Board of Directors of RMI and an Assistant-lecturer of Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration and Global Business Environment Studies. Mr. FIDELE has also been the former School of Finance and Banking coordinator (Current College of Business and Economics of the University of Rwanda; UR-CBE) of the twinning program to develop sustainable capacity in procurement for Rwanda between the School of Finance and Banking, the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization (ITCILO) and the University of Turin. At the University, he has held several responsibilities; College Academic staff Representative to Senate, Acting Dean of the School of Business, Member of the Disciplinary Committee, 3 times Chairperson of the Graduation Committee.
As regards consultancy activities; he participated in several consultancy and research activities and among others include training on Business Plan writing under Goldman Sachs program and Hanga Umurimo project, Stakeholder Mapping in the Agricultural Finance Subsector, Survey on Customer Satisfaction of Public Service Commission in Rwanda, Evaluation of PPIMA (Public Policy Information, Monitoring and Advocacy) project and CSC (Community Score Card) process for the Norwegian Aid, Leveraging indigenous technology for creating employment for rural women in Rwanda, Elaboration of Strategic plan for the promotion of touristic sites in Gisagara District and Comprehensive Assessment of Manufacturing Industrial Capacity Utilization in Rwanda.
Mr. ABIMANA has got a Master of Commerce in Finance from Osmania University in India and a Bachelor’s degree in Business administration with a specialization in accounting from the School of Finance and Banking. He also possess a postgraduate diploma in International Trade Policy and Trade Law of the East and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI) and Lund University.
Eugene N.Gatari is currently the Principal Senior Coordinator for Research and Consultancy at Rwanda Management Institute (RMI). Previously, Eugene has worked as a Policy, Programs and Projects Expert for different agencies including but not limited to; UNIDO, UNDP, USAID, AUC, The World Bank, DfID and private sector companies and INGOs in Rwanda, the Seychelles, Cote d’Ivoire, Tanzania, Burundi, Kenya and Uganda. Eugene holds an MPA with a focus on Public Policy and Management from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He is also a former Fulbright Peace and Justice Scholar from the University of San Diego, California.
