RMI LAUNCHES A FIVE-DAY ADVANCED EXCEL TRAINING FOR MMI STAFF

On 16 March 2026, the Rwanda Management Institute (RMI) officially launched a five-day Advanced Excel training program for twelve (12) staff members from MMI at the Muhima Campus.

The training brings together managers and professionals from MMI’s Finance and Procurement units with the objective of strengthening their capacity to effectively manage, analyze, and interpret large volumes of operational and financial data using advanced features of Microsoft Excel. Through hands-on sessions, participants will build practical skills in advanced formulas, data analysis tools, dashboards, automation techniques, and efficient data management practices.
For a medical insurance institution such as MMI, the ability to analyze and process data efficiently is critical to improving financial monitoring, claims management, procurement planning, and evidence-based decision-making. By enhancing staff competencies in advanced Excel applications, the training aims to support more accurate reporting, faster data processing, and improved transparency in financial and operational management.

Speaking on behalf of the RMI Director General, the Principal Senior Training Coordinator, Mr. Vincent de Paul Nshimyumuremyi, emphasized the importance of continuous professional development in today’s data-driven work environment. At the end of the training, participants are expected to apply the newly acquired skills to improve financial reporting, strengthen procurement data analysis, and develop automated tools that support timely and informed decision-making within MMI. The training is therefore expected to contribute to increased operational efficiency, better data utilization, and improved service delivery to MMI beneficiaries.
This five-day program forms part of RMI’s broader mandate to build the capacity of public and private sector managers and professionals through high-quality, practical training programs that respond to evolving workplace needs.

RMI remains committed to equipping professionals with relevant competencies that contribute to stronger institutions and sustainable national development.
